In this tutorial, I will explain how to draw Patrick from The Patrick Star Show in 21 steps. The character is fairly simple to sketch, so I would describe this as an easy-level drawing guide. Patrick’s design in the spin-off has some differences compared to his classic look, which I’ll go over here.
Patrick’s Appearance in the Spin-Off
- Head and Body: coral-pink starfish shape with a pointy head.
- Facial Features: thick eyebrows, lavender eyelids, and a wide smile.
- Clothing: green shirt with white flower-like shapes and purple shorts.
- Posture: a relaxed, tilted pose.
- Details: occasional dots on the body and round belly.
If you enjoy character tutorials, you may also want to try drawing Santa SpongeBob, Squidward, or even Karen Plankton from the same universe.
Following the Guide
The step-by-step process is supported by images with clear line guidelines. Each color in the steps has a meaning that makes the drawing easier to follow:
- Red Color: shows the current lines to draw in the step.
- Black Color: represents the lines that were drawn in previous steps.
- Grey Color: is the basic sketch foundation that helps with proportions.
This 21-step process gradually builds Patrick’s form, starting with the base sketch and finishing with the final outline and details.
