Ichigo’s True Shikai Form: A Full Bleach Drawing Lesson

Published on August 6, 2026

Ichigo Kurosaki returns once more, this time in the look fans waited the whole Bleach series to see. This lesson covers how to draw Ichigo in his True Shikai form, the upgraded design that landed during the final war arc.

Putting This Version of Ichigo Together

The breakdown runs across 28 stages, closing on a fully colored frame you can lean on while shading. Things start with loose framework marks so the proportions and stance feel solid long before the robes and blade get their final shape.

What Sets This Ichigo Apart

  • Spiky orange hair
  • Black shihakusho with crossed strap
  • White obi sash at the waist
  • Chain wrapped near the grip of Zangetsu
  • White tabi

If you’re working through more of the cast, this slots in well next to other Ichigo looks like his dual Zangetsu blades version or his post-Dangai training appearance. For a change of pace, the lieutenant Rangiku Matsumoto is open too.

How to Read the Line Colors

Three colors run through each frame so the fresh additions never get lost:

  • Red Color: lines added in the current step.
  • Black Color: lines completed earlier.
  • Gray Color: base sketch for structure.
