Blob of Destruction: Draw TADC’s The Fudge Step by Step

The chocolate river monster from the Candy Carrier Chaos episode left a mark on everyone who watched it. This tutorial covers how to draw The Fudge from The Amazing Digital Circus, the shapeless blob of fudge sauce that lives just outside the Candy Canyon Kingdom.

Tackling a Character with No Fixed Shape

Since The Fudge is literally a blob, you might think the drawing would be straightforward. It is not. The 14 steps (including the final colored image) deal with a lot of organic, uneven edges and overlapping folds that need to look messy on purpose while still reading as a recognizable character. The mouth alone takes up most of the body, so getting the tooth placement and inner cavity right early on saves a lot of erasing later.

The Fudge’s Key Design Elements

  • Shapeless chocolate fudge sauce body
  • Jawbreaker eyes with inner circles
  • Candy corn teeth, upper and lower
  • Massive open mouth covering most of body
  • Pseudopod limbs that shift form

The Fudge shares the Candy Canyon Kingdom with Princess Loolilalu, so drawing them together tells the full story of that episode. For something equally monstrous but from a different part of the show, the Gloink Queen has a similarly creature-heavy design. And Caine in his God Form gives you another over-the-top TADC boss to sketch.

Reading the Color-Coded Steps

Three line colors guide you through each image:

  • Red Color: lines added in the current step.
  • Black Color: lines completed earlier.
  • Gray Color: base sketch for structure.
