Tippy is one of the friendlier bear cubs in the whole Sanrio Characters lineup. This lesson covers how to draw Tippy, working through his rounded shape and layered outfit one piece at a time.
Getting This Little Bear on Paper
The tutorial spans 11 stages, ending on a fully colored version so you have a reference once your own lines are down. We start with simple rounded shapes for the head and body, then add the ears, face, and clothing details as the drawing builds up.
What Makes Tippy Stand Out
- Orange-brown fur with white muzzle
- Round red nose
- Yellow bow tie
- Green shirt under a blue vest
- Red shorts and bare feet
If you want to keep the momentum going, the sisters Yuu and Ai are both close by in style and difficulty. The bow-loving Keroppi is another good pick if you enjoyed drawing that bow tie.
How the Line Colors Work
Each image follows a three-color system so you always know what belongs to the current stage:
- Red Color: lines added in the current step.
- Black Color: lines completed earlier.
- Gray Color: base sketch for structure.

Let Me See Your Tippy
Once your bow tie and vest are colored in, drop your version in the comments so I can take a look. I’m working on a way to attach your art straight to the comment section, and it might already be running by the time you visit. With how to draw Tippy behind you, the strawberry loving Pompompurin or the sweet My Melody make good next stops. Fresh lessons go up on Facebook and Telegram as soon as they publish, a new video lands on YouTube every day pulled from these guides, and Pinterest gets updated regularly too, so if you’d like to support the work, my Patreon has hand drawn coloring pages waiting for you.
