How to Draw Dog Man: Running Pose in 16 Simple Steps

In this guide, I’ll show you how to draw Dog Man in a running pose. The character comes from Dav Pilkey’s graphic novel series, and this version is drawn in a simple cartoon style. The drawing has 16 steps and I’d consider it easy, the pose involves movement but the lines remain very simple.

Main Features of Dog Man Running

  • Head: Rounded dog’s head with long nose and floppy ears.
  • Eyes: Two narrow vertical ovals.
  • Mouth: Wide open smile with tongue sticking out.
  • Body: Blue shirt with a yellow badge symbol in the center.
  • Hat: Small police-style cap with a yellow badge, shown flying off his head.
  • Legs and Arms: Running motion with bent limbs.
  • Shoes: Simple rounded black shoes.

If you want more drawing practice after this one, you could also try drawing Captain Underpants, Petey the Cat, or Li’l Petey from the same series. I’m working on these guides and they’ll be posted here soon.
