Cartoon Whale Guide & Color Tips

Red Color: The current step you should focus on
Black Color: Shows previously drawn lines
Grey Color: Indicates the basic sketch
Step 1: Draw a single continuous line to outline the whale’s mouth, head, and back, extending to the beginning of the tail. Refer to the image for this step for guidance on the shape.
Step 2: Starting from the left side where the mouth begins, draw a curved line downward and to the right, extending to where the fin will be. This will form the lower part of the whale’s body.
Step 3: Draw the shape of the fin.
Step 4: Continue the line of the whale’s lower body up to where the tail will begin.
Step 5: Draw the shape of the tail.
Step 6: Draw the second fin, which is partially hidden by the body and only half visible on the other side.
Step 7: To the right of the mouth line, draw a crescent-shaped line to outline the top part of the eye.
Step 8: Use thin line to complete the shape drawn in the previous step, forming a circle. Inside this circle, draw another smaller circle, fill it in with black, but leave a small uncolored spot for a highlight.
Step 9: Starting from the mouth line and along the body to the tail, draw a line that separates the upper and lower parts of our cute blue whale’s body.
Step 10: Add the final details by drawing lines along the lower part of our cute cartoon whale’s body.
Step 11: Optionally, you can draw water droplets above the whale’s head to show it breathing or spouting water, adding a bit more detail to our drawing.
Step 12: Now, let’s color our cute cartoon blue whale. You can use any colors you like or refer to this image for adding colors and shading to our drawing.
