If you’ve ever wanted to learn how to draw a Creeper from Minecraft, here’s a solid place to start. I’m going with the classic pose in this one — no explosion happening, just the regular blocky guy with tiny legs. The structure is super simple, mostly cubes and rectangles, so it’s a great warm-up if you’re getting into Minecraft drawing.
What Makes a Creeper Look Like a Creeper
- Large cube-shaped head with pixel-style face — dark eyes and a big mouth with visible rectangular chin
- Tall rectangular torso, same width as the head, straight down
- Four stubby rectangular legs at the base, spaced slightly apart
- Color is mostly light and dark green blocks for simple volume and shades, sometimes checkerboard-like near the feet
- Body and legs are angled just a bit to show it’s pose
If you’re planning to continue, you could try drawing a Zombie, Enderman, or even Steve in his Diamond Armor next to make a little Minecraft characters lineup.
How the Drawing Guide is Set Up
This guide uses a basic color-coded line system to help you follow along:
- Red Color: shows the part of the drawing you’re currently working on
- Black Color: shows lines that you’ve already finished
The Creeper design is pretty low on complexity. It’s all about keeping the lines straight and getting the proportions right between the head, body, and legs.

If you finish your Creeper drawing, post it in the comments on Pinterest under this article. That’s where most people share their drawings, and it’s always fun to see how others do it.
