In this guide, you’ll learn how to draw Aira Shiratori’s face from the Dandadan anime. This tutorial will take you through simple steps, helping you capture her unique facial features and hairstyle. By the end of this, you’ll have a detailed head and shoulders sketch that reflects Aira’s appearance in the show.
Key Details of Aira Shiratori’s Appearance
Aira Shiratori is a prominent character in Dandadan, known for her confidence and striking appearance. Here are some important features to focus on when drawing her:
Hair: Short, pink hair, with most of it framing the left side of her face.
Eyes: Large, expressive eyes with a greyish-purple-brown color.
Outfit: Typically seen in her school uniform, including a blazer, collared shirt, and red bow.
Facial Expression: Her face often carries a calm, confident look.
After mastering this drawing, you might also enjoy sketching other characters from Dandadan, such as Momo and Okarun. And there’s also a full body guide for Aira.
Colors and Guidelines for This Drawing
Throughout this guide, I use different colors to make the process easier to follow. Here’s what each color represents:
Red Color: Represents the current step that you’re working on.
Black Color: Indicates the lines that you’ve already drawn.
Grey Color: Shows the basic sketch or initial construction lines.
By following these color guidelines, you’ll be able to separate each stage of the drawing process and understand where to focus your attention.
Step 1: Start by drawing a circle for the head’s base, adding a pointed chin to shape the face.
Step 2: Add a vertical and horizontal line across the face to center it. Sketch short lines where the eyes and nose will be. Add ear shapes on the sides, along with lines for the neck and shoulders.
Step 3: Outline the face, adding a hair strand on the side that partly frames the face and goes down.
Step 4: Draw the top of the face, outlining the hairline, and sketch the fringe that falls in the center of her forehead.
Step 5: Add another layer of hair on top of her head, building up the shape of her hairstyle.
Step 6: Draw more hair strands, focusing on the top and side, enhancing the volume of the hair.
Step 7: Outline her ears and eyes. For the nose, use very short lines that look almost like dots for the nostrils, and a simple line with a small gap in the middle for the mouth.
Step 8: Add eyelashes and upper eyelid lines. Draw an inner ear line on the ear (on the left side from our view). Sketch ovals for her eyeballs, and don’t forget the small missing hair strand in her fringe.
Step 9: Detail the anime-style eyes, adding oval highlights in the bottom left side of the eyeballs. Finish the ears with extra lines.
Step 10: Sketch her neck and the collar line for her shirt.
Step 11: Add her signature bow just below the collar.
Step 12: Sketch the shoulders and the visible parts of her clothing. Draw the upper sections of both her shirt and jacket collars, adding lines for the folds in the bow.
Step 13: Draw the hair on the left side.
Step 14: Add hair strands along the sides of Aira’s neck, a small hair strand on top of her head, and another layer of hair on the right side.
Step 15: Include extra lines in the hair to add texture and detail. Draw short lines on her cheeks for the anime-style blush marks.
Step 16: Review the sketch and finalize any details. Erase the basic sketch lines, or optionally ink the drawing and remove any pencil marks completely.
Step 17: Optionally, color and shade the drawing using the image as a reference or add your own unique touch with different colors.
